Billy Markus, creator of the most popular meme token Dogecoin (DOGE), shared an interesting prediction about Dogecoin.
Markus said that Dogecoin would reach a dollar by the end of the day, but later backed out.
Markus said at the bottom of his tweet that the “1 dollar” estimate is for Hong Kong dollars.
This joke was not welcomed by the crypto community. Because the community has been complaining about the performance of the asset lately.
Dogecoin reached the ATH level by rising as high as $ 0.73 last May. The asset is currently trading 80% below the ATH level.
DOGE gained 20% after Elon Musk announced that he wanted to buy Twitter, but this rise was short-lived.
DOGE is trading at $0.142340 at the time of writing, according to CoinGecko data.
